Resize images

Exact pixels, a percentage, or centimetres and inches at the DPI you need. Keep the shape, crop to fill, or stretch; batches welcome.

How it works

  1. Pick a preset, or choose pixels, percent, or a physical size with a DPI.
  2. Decide what happens when the shape differs: fit inside, crop to fill, or stretch.
  3. Drop the images; each row shows the output size before you download.
  4. Download one, or all as a ZIP.

Questions

How do I resize to 3.5 × 4.5 cm?

Choose 'cm / mm / in', enter 3.5 and 4.5 at 300 DPI, and the tool outputs 413 × 531 pixels. The ID photo preset does this in one click.

What does 'crop to fill' do?

When your photo's shape differs from the target, it trims the long edges around the centre so the output is exactly the size you typed. 'Fit inside' keeps the whole picture and makes one side smaller; 'stretch' distorts it.

Can I resize many images to the same size?

Yes. Set the size once and drop a batch; every file comes out at that size and downloads as one ZIP.

Does making an image bigger improve it?

No. Enlarging only spreads the existing pixels; the result is softer. The tool enlarges when you ask, and 'never enlarge' prevents it for batches of mixed sizes.
