About
FitMyImage started with one refused upload: a photograph that was 3.1 MB when a form wanted 50 KB and 200 by 230 pixels, and a dozen websites that each solved half of the problem. The idea here is simple. Read the rule the portal gives you, and make the file fit all of it at once.
Why it runs in your browser
Modern browsers carry a complete image encoder. Using it means the photo never has to leave your device, there is no queue on a server, and a site run by one person can serve the world without renting machines. It also means we have nothing of yours to keep. The trade-off is that a very old browser may not support every format; the tool tells you when that happens.
How the site is paid for
With display advertising, placed under the tools and under the articles, never next to an upload or download button. There is no paid tier and no account. If that changes, this page will say so first.
